Friday Financial Tidbit-Financial Podcasts you need to listen to

In last Friday’s Financial Tidbit, I discussed the importance of reading and shared my recommended personal finance reading list. * Continuing that theme, today I want to share what other personal finance podcasts that I listen to weekly. Just because I do the JW’s Financial Coaching Podcast does not mean I do not listen to other financial podcasts as there are other great podcasts to listen to. In no particular order here are the ones I listen to on my iPod each week:

The Dave Ramsey Show by Dave Ramsey

Dave’s show has been the one that has influenced me the most and was one of the main reasons why I started getting into financial coaching.  Dave does his show every weekday for 3 hours and covers any subject you can think of dealing with personal finance.  My favorite shows are the debt free Friday editions where people call in and share their stories of getting out of debt and scream, “I’M DEBT FREE”!

MoneyPlanSOS podcast by Steve Stewart

Steve’s show is relatively new, starting around the same time I started podcasting.  His show features the Real Life case studies, which is a great concept where Steve and another financial coach take a real client and go over their financial situation and give them sound financial advice, just as they would in a coaching setting.

Living in Financial Excellence by Matt and Janelle Wegner

Matt and Janelle Wegner do a weekly podcast where they discuss debt free life and talk about ways to become smarter with finances. What I love best about this show is that Matt and Janelle do the show together so you get to see their different points of view on finances and see how they reconcile those views together in a way that works for them.

Past Due Radio by Derek Sisterhen

Derek has been doing his weekly podcast for a while now and the show’s archive is full of great shows covering a wide variety of financial topics.  Currently the format is where readers send in their financial questions and situations and Derek does a great job of going through all the options available and giving a detailed and thorough response.

Fighting Back Financially by Gregg Pechmann

Gregg has a tremendous personal story of surviving 7 short sales during the latest real estate crisis.  His podcast covers a lot about the short sale process and he has frequent guests on his shows covering a different array of personal finance topics.

So that’s what I listen to on a weekly basis.  Are there any shows out there that I am missing that I should check out?  If so, please leave a note in the comments section below and if you have a personal finance podcast or show we should be listening to, please feel free to advertise for it below in the comment section.
