“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.” ~ Henry Ford

Do you think you can? Or do you think you can’t? It’s a simple question yet it still amazes me that how you answer that question quite often determines how well you will do with money.

You see, I’ve interviewed and coached many individuals who think they can and have taken control of their finances. Often they have gotten out of debt and turned their financial situations around. One of the main reasons why is that they believed that they could win with money.

I’ve also come in contact with those who think they can’t or even worse think that YOU can’t change your finances. You know what? They are partially right; their situation won’t change mainly because they don’t think they can.

Mr. Ford’s quote is one of my all time favorites. Not because it is some positive thinking quote or because it also highlights the power of negative thinking. I like it because I believe it to be true. I’ve never met someone who says they can’t do something and then actually do that thing. But I have seen people take great strides and make significant life changes simply because they believed they could. So when it comes to your finances do you believe you can? Or believe you can’t?
