Where does personal finance fit in your life?

Because I write and talk a lot about personal finance, sometimes it can come across that all I care about is money. While I believe that having control of your finances is very important, to me it shouldn’t be the most important thing in your life.

The way I look at it is like a pie chart. It is full of little sections comprising the most important things in our life, including faith, family, career, relationships, and physical fitness among others. Somewhere in there is a piece for personal finance.

The reason why I am so passionate about personal finance is that I have seen the negative impacts on your faith, family, and relationships when your finances are not under control. But I have also seen what happens when people decide to make positive changes in the way they handle money and how the other areas of their life are impacted.

What about yourself? Where does personal finance fit in your own “pie?”

Great post. Personal finance is very important and can impact other areas in your life. When not under control it causes a lot of stress.

Thanks Justin, I always love hearing stories of how people’s lives are changed in other areas of their life once they eliminate their debt.

Absolutely Justin. I’ve seen it many times where having financial trouble impacts others areas of your life.
